At present, a new round of environmental protection movement is emerging in the world, which will make the energy conservation environmental protection industry one of the most promising industries in the 21st century. As the world's second largest economy and largest developing country, China is bound to set up the image of a responsible environmental protection country in the global environmental movement. According to the Comprehensive Work Plan for energy Conservation and Emission Reduction issued by The State Council, by 2015, China's energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP will be reduced to 0.869 tons of standard coal (calculated at 2005 prices), down 16% from 1.034 tons of standard coal in 2010. China's total chemical oxygen demand and sulfur dioxide emissions were set at 23.476 million tons and 20.864 million tons respectively, down 8 percent from 2010. China's total ammonia nitrogen and nitrogen oxide emissions were controlled at 2.38 million tons and 20.46 million tons, respectively, down 10 percent from 2010. This fully shows the strength and determination of our country's work in the field of environmental protection. Over the years, China's energy conservation and environmental protection market has maintained a rapid development rate, the annual growth rate is higher than the GDP in the same period. With the implementation of China's "12th Five-Year" energy conservation and emission reduction targets, it is expected that not only the investment in this field will increase year by year, but its share of GDP will also increase year by year. According to international experience, in the period of rapid economic growth, only by continuously increasing investment in environmental protection and making the environmental protection industry reach 3% of GDP can pollution be controlled more effectively and environmental protection be adapted to economic development.
